    Advances energy technology and promotes related innovation in the United States.
  • Department of Health and Human Services  
      
    Protects the health of all Americans and provides essential human services.
  • Department of Homeland Security  
      
    Protects the territory of the U.S. from terrorist attacks and responds to natural disasters.
  • Department of Housing and Urban Development  
      
    Develops and executes policy on housing and cities.
  • Department of the Interior  
      
    Assumes responsibity for the management and conservation of most federal land and the administration of programs relating to Native Americans, Alaska Natives, and Native Hawaiians, and to insular areas of the United States.
  • Department of Justice  
      
    Enforces the laws and defends the interests of the United States according to the law and ensures fair and impartial administration of justice for all Americans.
  • Department of Labor  
      
    Assumes responsibility for occupational safety, wage and hour standards, unemployment insurance benefits, re-employment services, and some economic statistics.
  • Department of State  
      
    Advances U.S. objectives and interests in the world through its primary role in developing and implementing the President's foreign policy.   • Department of the Treasury  
      
    Oversees the U.S. economy and financial markets. Advises the President on economic and financial issues, promotes the administration's growth agenda, and attempts to enhance corporate governance in financial institutions.
